An exciting opportunity has become available to work with a leading aerospace manufacturer in the South West of England.
Electrical Cable Assembly Design- Ideally you will have:
•Good working knowledge in the use of CAD tools for wiring and cable assembly design.
•Good working knowledge of the CATIA E3D tool for design of cable assembly installation routing and clipping.
•Good working knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionic systems, interconnection requirements and interface standards and their implementation
•Good working knowledge of aircraft cable assembly design, including design for minimum weight, low cost, EMC, safety, ease of production and installation and maintenance in service. Knowledge in the production of:
Interconnect requirements, based on supplier Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
Wiring schematics, showing the logical interconnections between equipment and sub-systems
Wiring diagrams, showing the physical interconnection between equipment and sub-systems
Cable assembly definitions for use by manufacturing
•Good working knowledge of aerospace cable assembly components, including aerospace standard cables, equipment and bulkhead connectors, backshells, etc.
•Good working knowledge of aircraft wiring/cable assembly manufacturing processes
•Good working knowledge and understanding of airworthiness requirements relevant to electrical cable assemblies and their installation
•Ideally a Qualification to HNC or Degree level
