Our client provides technical support to the Honda organisation in Swindon, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated Electrical Design and Commissioning Engineer to compliment their existing team of professionals.
Our client provides technical support to the Honda organisation in Swindon, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated Electrical Design and Commissioning Engineer to compliment their existing team of professionals.
Working in a division tasked with designing and integrating Engine Machining, & Engine Assembly equipment, the successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of projects from Concept stage through to implementation, developing Electrical specifications for projects including cost study, undertaking electrical design of manufacturing equipment including software development and assisting the plant in trouble shooting during large equipment breakdowns.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will ideally be able to demonstrate at least a couple of years experience in a related industry, PLC programming knowledge and experience of installation & commissioning of robotic & CNC cells. Powertrain knowledge and experience would be distinctly advantageous as would experience of safety systems (Pilz pref), generating associated reports and documentation and the ability to carry out hands-on activity such as field wiring and control panel assembly.
You will possess strong communication skills at all levels and have demonstrable experience of problem solving & implementation of countermeasures as well as in proactively driving through changes within a relevant environment. Additionally you will possess a flexible approach to work and be able to work weekends and shutdowns when required, with some foreign travel on an occasional basis available.
