ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEERS POWERTRAIN

Electrical Design Engineers are now required to coordinate projects from concept stage through to implementation. You will undertake the development of electrical specification for projects including cost study. You will be responsible for the electrical design of manufacturing equipment including software development. You will provide assistance to the plant in trouble shooting during large equipment breakdowns. You will also coordinate the electrical assembly (including contractor supervision) and commissioning of new installations.

Successful candidates will ideally be educated to degree/HNC level in electrical engineering. You will need experience in a related industry with experience of PLC programming and the ability to carry out hands-on activities such as field wiring and control panel assembly. Experience of installation and commissioning of robotic and CNC cells and powertrain knowledge and experience would be highly advantageous. Experience of safety systems (Pilz preferably); generating reports and presentations and in CE Marking of equipment would also be ideal for this role.

Strong communication skills and a flexible approach to work and the ability to work weekends and shutdowns when required is also necessary.
