We have an of excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to play an important role in the delivery of our electrical design services, predominately within the Water Sector.

Such an engineer is likely to have experience in the implementation of the design of water or waste water projects at a senior level.
Key responsibilities include design delivery, technical ownership, preparing proposals and as such contributing to our range of projects in the Water Sector. You will be responsible for the electrical aspects of the design of water and waster water projects from feasibility to completion. Working within multi-disciplinary project teams you will be able to communicate effectively with other team members.

The candidate will be required to demonstrate the following:
- Recent electrical design experience to BS7671; working on electrical projects in the chemical, process, utility, or allied industries is essential.
- Water Industry electrical engineering expertise would be advantageous.
- Specific experience in the evaluation, design, and specification of electrical power and control systems, including the production of detailed power system, switchgear and motor control centre, instrumentation, and cabling design packages.
- Technical supervision of design work performed by others.
- Experience of testing, setting to work, and the commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- A practical appreciation of electrical safe systems of work.

Candidates will need the following:
- A good Client facing manner, and be highly motivated; whether working as part of a small team or on their own.
- The ability to communicate clearly; both verbally and in the production of good quality written documentation using MS Office applications.
- Ideally have experience of AMTECH electrical design software; knowledge of power systems analysis software would be advantageous.
- knowledge of various methods of contract procurement, ideally including the ECC (NEC) Form of Contract.
- The ability to integrate their work with other discipline areas, and to work to programme and budget constraints.
- Possession of a valid UK driving license and a vehicle, coupled with a willingness to travel within the Northeast (and on occasion, the UK).
- The ability to travel and visit operational and construction sites, and to inspect and witness test electrical equipment and installations as required
