Our client requires an Electrical Engineer to join their busy team based in Reading.
The candidate should ideally have experience in a design house environment with either contractors or consulting engineers and be competent to work independently to produce design calculations, specifications and drawing information for tendering refurbishment work and new projects.
Experience in the Nuclear & Defence industries would be an advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities:-
The successful candidate will form part of a team of services design engineers reporting directly to the project manager.
Liaison with other engineering disciplines especially electrical & controls engineers.
Delivery of project design work on time & to budget.
Duties:
- Develop design concepts using computer modelling and design techniques
- Undertaking Research and Development projects
- Preparing technical specifications for systems covering functional performance, operation, reliability, and maintainability
- Development of Operating and Maintenance Procedures
- Preparation of drawings and sketches using Autocad
The role requires a good broad understanding of mechanical, electrical and building systems.

- Due to the sensitive classification of the work the candidate must have lived and worked within the UK for the last three out of five years.
