Description
We have an immediate requirement for Control Systems Hardware Engineers with a Systems Integrator in the Power and Nuclear Industry.
Summary of main purpose of the job:
Design, implementation, and testing of hardware systems. Mainly using proprietary hardware components for C,E&I (Control, Electrical and Instrumentation), PLC/SCADA control systems, network panels and similar, for the Nuclear industry. This is a role for someone with proven experience, with the opportunity to gain further experience in and responsibility for system implementation.
The role is based out of the Midlands but will require some attendance at other offices at times (for which expenses are paid). Occasional travel to the customer site for surveying and installing/configuring systems will also be required.
Role Description:
Design and implementation of C,E&I , PLC/SCADA control systems, network panels and GMSCs using proprietary components and sub assemblies.
Design tests for hardware acceptance and implementation work
Design and justification of hardware safety systems to SIL 2.
Document all design and implementation and test results
Translating hardware requirements into hardware specification
Wiring and component/ assembly building and testing of prototypes
Site surveying
Interfacing with other hardware/software systems
