Dowding & Mills specialises in the refurbishment of electrical equipment including motors and generators and also has expertise in repairing electronic control systems and the associated mechanical driven units such as pumps and gearboxes.

Principal duties and responsibilities
• To carry out current injection testing on a varied range of electrical protection relays and breakers.
• To carry out electrical condition monitoring work using techniques such as Partial Discharge Analysis, Phase Current Analysis and IR Thermography.
• To plan and implement workload

Working Conditions
• Environment:
The job is primarily offshore based but will require some onshore reporting work.

• Working Hours:
The minimum working hours are 12 hours per day offshore and may require some overtime hours according to job demands.

• Attendance:
On an ad-hoc basis, depending on existing contracts and work load.

Attainments
• Experience working offshore and overseas essential
• Experience of HV Protection Relay Testing essential.
• Experience of electrical condition monitoring techniques would be an advantage but training will be provided.
