Company based on the Surrey / Hampshire border require an EMC / Qualification Engineer

Key Skills

1.Experience of EMC / Environmental testing and a proven track record of successful EMC problem solving on products.
2.Have a working knowledge of Monitors, PC systems, hardware and software. Able to use word processing, spread sheets and data base tools for analytical purposes.
3.Able to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels
4.A suitable relevant academic qualification (e.g. but not confined to a degree or HNC in electronics or another engineering discipline)

2.Solve EMC & Environmental problems on prototype products.
3.Generate Qualification Test & ESS plans & procedures in accordance with the relevant project requirements and military standards.

Job overview

3.Generate Qualification Test & ESS plans & procedures in accordance with the relevant project requirements and military standards.
4.Technical liaison with test houses and regulatory authorities
5.Perform EMC & Environmental testing of electronic equipment to determine compliance against the project requirements / military standards.
6.Carry out Electrical Safety Tests and formal product testing in support of the applicable Qualification testing.
7.Ensuring remedial and preventive action is taken following test failures.
8.Generate test reports and issue compliance certification where appropriate.
9.Maintain records of test results for all qualified products.
10.Perform and / or arrange the sub-contract maintenance (as applicable) of EMC & Environmental test facilities.
11.Optionally technical liaison with customers
12.Optionally technical specification and documentation writing
13.Optionally assessment of safety and legal aspects


The company are looking for both contract and permanent people to fulfil these roles (1x permanent, 2 x long term contract - client would like a minimum 6-12 month commitment on contract)

Perm c. £30 - £35k
