EMC Manager - required for this leading defence communications company. EMC Manager - required for this leading defence communications company. The role is ensure that the div continue to provide an adequate and improving EM modelling capability for both internal & external customers. EM modelling is conducted as both an integral part of creating antenna and RF installation solutions but also as a Consultant role to Equipment and Capability Prime Contractors.
Involve and train other Antenna R&D engineers in the processes and tools which provide the ability to solve problems with EMC modelling. These processes and tools will also be developed over time to ensure that our technical capability is improved and makes full use of available technologies and advancements in the science and codes available. The job holder will be expected to provide specific support to EM Business Development and Marketing. This is likely to be in the form of demonstrating the capability, presenting papers, talking to potential customers and contributing to the development of marketing strategies. You will be an expert in the EM modelling field and as such will provide the main, dedicated engineering effort to model antennas and associated installations for all applications. Responsible for task managing projects which are substantially EM modelling in nature or where EM elements exist within a wider project. As part of this role you will manage a small team of engineers whose primary role is that of doing or supporting EM Modelling.
Skills & Experience: Proven and extensive previous experience in EM Modelling. Experience of the relevant software tools and their specialist super-computer platforms. Strong appreciation of CAD design and mechanical models. An appreciation of Installed Antenna Performance, EMC Issues, Radiation Hazards and Bio-electromagnetic effects.
The successful applicant need to obtain MoD Clearance to at least SC level.
