Location: Portsmouth

Outline Job Profile:
An experience EMC Engineer is required to undertake EMC Engineering tasks on RF communications payload projects, proposals and studies. Specifics tasks will include:
Requiremenst analysis
Equipment specification development, supporting Electrical/ RF design Engineers
Advise on EMC control techn

An experience EMC Engineer is required to undertake EMC Engineering tasks on RF communications payload projects, proposals and studies. Specifics tasks will include:
Requiremenst analysis
Equipment specification development, supporting Electrical/ RF design Engineers
Advise on EMC control techniques and practices
EMC design analysis
Preparation of test specifications and procedures as part of a multidisciplinary team
Supervision of EMC tests, controlling of test programmes and assisting with test reports
Liaison with customer representitives and participation in meetings and formal design reviews.
NOTE: Must be able to travel including overseas if required.
Essential Skills/Experience:
HNC/HND/BSc Physics or electronics or related subject
EMC test and design experience to Mil Std 462 or equivalent. Experience within the military / Defence / Avionics industry
Desirable Skills/Experience:
EMC experience in a Space Systems Environment
Knowledge of PIMPs and multipactor.
