ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER / INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER
My client a globally positioned manufacturer who employs around 13,000 people in 11 countries is recruiting for a permanent electrical maintenance engineer (ideally who has previous experience of working in a molten metal casting department) to work a continental shift DAYS position join their large multi skilled engineering department.
Instrumentation Engineers /Electrical maintenance engineers will be involved in the following:
Calibration and repair of all types of flow meters, thermocouple / converters, stack analysis equipment and gas furnace control systems.
Maintain maximum efficiency of the furnaces by interrogating the SCADA system
Conversant with PLC / DCS control systems and can carry out minor modifications to the program as well as fault finding on instrument control loops
Standard electrical and mechanical maintenance when required such as furnaces, burner, ovens on components which may include switches, sensors, relays and control panels also valves, hydraulics and changing bearings
Experience in working on 415V three phase high power systems that includes local distribution utilities, AC induction motor control and frequency controlled induction furnaces, candidates should have a working knowledge of electrical permit to work and isolation systems on systems less than 1000V AC.
Must be able to work well alone and in a team as the engineers will have to do so during commissioning and other frequent project work
Continental shift pattern hours: 08.45 am 03.45 p.m. (DAYS)
Salary c.£29,000 package + overtime + pension + other benefits
