A Documentation & Structure Engineer role exists, reporting to the VSIG Engineering Manager, responsible for the implementation of all mechanical and electrical design draughting and to check all Cummins engineering drawings for assembling and manufacturing. Manage the structural work, BoMs. Material properties, Specification sheets and the release of all new design. Draw, manage and release all wiring looms of the new design.

Produce the engineering drawings, BoMs and all structural work required for new products.
Write material properties and specification sheets.
Manage and implement all design draughting to agreed schedules.
Be involved in the designing stages of the new products.
Manage all changes request by the electronics and mechanical engineers regarding the VSIG products.
Contact with suppliers as necessary to resolve supplier caused issues specially metalwork problems.
Implement Cummins Generator Technology process/standards of drawing and draughting.
Addressing personal issues within the team and providing support where necessary and appropriate.
Providing technical information as required to all internal functions and technical data to customers as required.
Interpreting and applying relevant National and International standards for Design and Quality Assurance.
Carry out duties in line with the Company Quality Policy Statement.
Be flexible in offering assistance in times of high workload or absence of colleagues and carrying out any other tasks compatible with the nature and level of the position, as directed by the VSIG Engineering Manager
Essential Skills & Experience:
HND, BSc or equivalent or relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
Experience with excellent working knowledge of 3D and solid modelling software preferably Pro E platform.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software.
Practical experience in 2D and 3D design draughting
Understanding of MRP and engineering system.
Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
Good maths knowledge
