An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Director within a leading UK based environmental and engineering consultancy. This is a high profile opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business within the Environmental Division.

The successful candidate will be a key player within the business development leadership team presenting an opportunity to influence the direction of its business working in partnership with its management team.
The right candidate will be naturally motivated to create new business, thrive in a team environment and succeed with little management intervention. They will lead from the front and achieve through others making a clear and tangible difference.

Responsibilities:- These will involve preparing and maintaining a strategy with plans to deliver long term profitable growth in business; maximising the impact of business development time and focusing and co-ordinating the activities associated with developing due diligence business.
-You will be confident in your ability to set and manage the delivery of high technical standards in the work carried out by project teams.
-You will need to be committed to achieving success in the following key result areas:
Sector Knowledge
Marketing and Positioning of the company
Planning and Management of Sector Development Activities
New Business Development
New Service Development
Project Direction and Client Management
-You will work closely with Product Directors and Project Resourcing Directors to ensure that sufficient resources are dedicated to development and delivery activities and to encourage working together and sharing of intelligence across the company.

Requirements:- Degree level qualification or equivalent BSc Engineering or Environmental Science. MBA Optional, but some form of business training preferred.
-A strong track record in managing client relations and business development skills to take responsibility for the overall growth of the business.
-A proven track record of business development in the UK in the relevant sectors, and will have built up effective relationships with relevant clients through account management.
-Be accountable for the safe development and delivery of environmental due diligence services to corporate clients.
-Will have been accountable for the development of consultancy business in excess of £1m and be able to demonstrate a track recording in leading business growth ahead of market trend.
-It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the drivers and requirements for due diligence services with, in addition, the ability to improve and reposition the service offering over time.
