Development / Test Engineer

Supplying solutions to manufacturers and users on every continent plus a vast development programme to meet ever demanding application emissions requirements has resulted in a range of exciting opportunities and challenges for experienced engine development professionals.
As a part of the Technology and Solutions Division, Global Engine Development, a world-class development facility, delivers Verification and Validation work for its Customers on a range of products. The Component Test and Experimental Stress team deliver off-engine verification and validation activities with the roll-out of the Failsafe methodology for Tier IV products, there will be a greater reliance on component and systems V&V and the verification of CAE models.
The Role:
Will involve delivering data and solutions for products through the testing and development of components and systems
Make recommendations, investigate and analyse improvements to the components and system, and effectively document and communicate these activities to the Customers at all levels
Design and develop new off-engine solutions to provide the best verification and validation services to the Customer meeting the new challenges of Tier IV
Develop excellent collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers and other cross-functional groups to ensure goals are achieved
Requirements:
Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience
2 to 4 years experience and exhibited the ability to work on increasingly more complex assignments
6 Sigma Green belt experience essential
Excellent analytical skills
Breadth of knowledge and experience including products, processes, design and procedures
Experience working with a different unit or working with different products, processes or systems is desirable
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well employees in other units, customers and suppliers
