We are seeking a dynamic Development/Project Manager who is capable of managing a small team of highly skilled senior engineers and who is also able to skilfully manage a number of new embedded products and projects. This position requires some international travelling.
Principal responsibilities
Providing focus and direction to the Embedded software team in line with agreed technology and product development strategies
Ensure projects are delivered to the agreed quality, delivery date and cost targets
Develop, communicate and maintain project related documentation and information
Provide communication and liaison between cross-functional teams and organizations, third-party suppliers and OEM integration management
Working with Product marketing and other groups within the company to further define marketing strategies and requirements for enhancement and changes to the current and new products
Involvement with writing requirements documents and product specifications
Essential skills and experience
A degree in computer science or equivalent
Extensive experience of C/C++ development for embedded environments
Extensive experience in managing software teams and projects within embedded environments
Knowledge and experience of the corporate/embedded printing market and key players in this market
Embedded systems knowledge (e.g. VxWorks)
Knowledge and understanding of printing systems and raster image processing
Strong communication and presentation skills
