THE JOB

Development Engineer

Due to continued success and expansion my client is now looking to recruit an additional Development Engineer.

Based at the clients Cheshire facility specialising in Mixers & Agitators the main purpose of the role will be to provide Conceptual and Detailed Design and Specification of current ranges and for New Product Development.

Other duties/responsibilities are outlined below;

oProvide full support documentation for the product range including Drawings, Instructions, Sales Data book issues and Test Standards
oTo design and engineer product and produce supporting technical files and calculation.
oTo ensure the timely execution of all associated product specifications with associated materials.
oReview Material requirements and specification documents.
oDevelop BOM within the Company ERP system.
oLiaise with Global development teams to determine component product standards.
oObtain detailed cost estimates for engineered machine parts to assist meeting pricing objectives.
oProduce Product specification.
oDevelopment of Standards, Procedures and Products related to new markets.


Skills and Experience required

1. HND Mechanical Engineer or relevant experience in a similar role.
2. Preferably with 2 to 3 years industrial post qualification experience in a related industry with knowledge of rotating equipment or Reducing Gearboxes or Transmissions.
3. Familiar with Machinery basic concepts including Machinery Directive, ATEX Directive and Pressure Equipment Directive.
4. 2D & 3D Experience of either AutoCAD, Inventor 10 or Mechanical Desktop



REMUNERATION

Basic Salary negotiable (depending on experience), Normal Office Hours 0830-1700 with one hour lunch break. Flexi-time system is also in operation, 25 days holiday plus all statutory days, pension and up to 10% associated annual bonus.
