Our Client a Major OEM supplier requires a CAD Designer/Technican.The role is located within the Product Engineering Department and supports the project engineers as well as the development engineers with design work and the production of drawings. It involves the design of clamps and clamp assemblies together with other design work such as testing fixtures . Further involvement in validation testing within our in-house laboratory and organising tests carried out at external laboratories will be required.A focused and motivated individual who is able to work within the team with good interpersonal skills is required. Experience of working with industrial metal products in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.The following are desired requirements for the candidate:Live within or be prepared to move to a commutable distance of the Client's location. The client will for the right person accept Redditch as location for the role. Extensive demonstrable work experience in either design and/or testing.Mechanical engineering backgroundExperience with CAD systems preferably ProEngineer.
