An excellent opportunity has become available to join part of a global organisation that specialise in many different industries. My client specialises in the design, development and manufacture of water process and treatment products for the medical, pharmaceutical and scientific industries. They are currently seeking a design development engineer on a permanent basis to join their well established team of experienced engineers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an apprenticed trained engineer or a degree qualified engineer with 2-3 years industry experience to join a company that can offer a challenging environment for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is looking to further their career with a company that can offer excellent career progression and prospects. The position offers many different training courses such as a 2 week pro-engineer training course which would see you fully trained and conversant in this CAD package.
The candidate my client is seeking will preferably be trained to an apprentice level or be degree educated either in manufacturing or mechanical engineering. You will need to have knowledge of how components and parts are made as you will be designing and developing products for manufacture (DFM). Having a good understanding in plastic injection moulded parts would be ideal along with having worked on sheet metal and the tolerances that are involved with this component.
My client is offering a salary between £27,000 and £32,000 per annum dependant upon experience along with a good package which includes health care, pension, 25 days holiday etc.
