Design/Development Engineer required in South Wales to work for a large tier one automotive supplier.
Design/Development Engineer required in South Wales to work for a large tier one automotive supplier. This is a senior level position reporting into the Lead Engineer. The role has responsibility for design and/or development on current and future brake products. You will deliver cost effective solutions, take part in design reviews and use FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and DVP and R (Design Verification Planning and Reporting) and other problem solving techniques. To be considered for this excellent opportunity you will ideally have a Mechanical Engineering Degree (or equivalent experience) with experience of design, development or project engineering - preferably within the automotive industry (brakes). You will need some 3D CAD knowledge - ideally ProEngineer Wildfire as well as an understanding of manufacturing concepts/processes and materials/stress theory.
