Design Verification & Trials Certification Engineer
CONTRACT - 12 MONTHS
PAY RATE - £31.56
LOCATION - Sevenage, London, South, South East
MUST BE SC CLEARED
Design Verification & Trials Certification Engineer required.
Design Proving and Verification Process at all levels leading to Firing Trials Clearance and Certificate of Design but with a mindset to apply process appropriately in a rapid prototyping project.
Able to interpret and analyse data submitted as evidence of compliance
Able to work autonomously to demanding timescales.
Configuration Control of Missile and Support Equipment Design Definition
Hands-on experience of LEO system for Design Definition and Configuration Control.
Hands on experience of the DOORS tool (Data input, object linking, etc.)

Design Verification & Trials Certification Engineer required.
The holder will report to the Definition and Milestones Manager within the LM ISV team.
Experience of Design Proving and Verification Process at all levels leading to Firing Trials Clearance and Certificate of Design but with a mindset to apply process appropriately in a rapid prototyping project.
Able to interpret and analyse data submitted as evidence of compliance
Able to work autonomously to demanding timescales.
Experience of Configuration Control of Missile and Support Equipment Design Definition
Detailed
- Generation and maintenance of verification plans with ISV, Systems and Design team stakeholders.
- Assess technical data as required and collate clear evidence for ISV inputs to compliance matrices as identified in the verification plans.
- Responsible for System and subsystem level Firing Trials Clearance Certification
- Ensuring Trials Clearance Certification is completed in the timescales required to support the programme of LM EOC Trials.
- Report progress of Trials Certification activities, ensuring risks and problems are identified as early as possible.
- Be LM ISV contact for all matters relating to the design definition of full System (Munition and Ground Equipment).
- Design Verification point of contact for ensuring that the design definition of trials hardware / software is appropriately defined and ensuring that this is clearly and unambiguously reported in proving documentation and certification evidence.
- Support to task of Trials hardware requirements generation and management (aiming to ensure trials objectives can be achieved)
- Support to definition of overall system proving policy and programme as managed via the Design Assurance Plan.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Hands-on experience of LEO system for Design Definition and Configuration Control.
- Hands on experience of the DOORS tool (Data input, object linking, etc.)
- Ability to establish good working relationships across ISP, Systems and Design Functions
