DESIGN PROJECT ENGINEER - NR COLCHESTER - SALARY NEGOTIABLE
Our clients maintain and service a variety of engine room based control/monitoring systems. They are currently expanding and are seeking an Electronic biased Design/Project engineer. You will handle control systems designs from initial concept through all stages to commissioning, incorporating PLC programming. A good hands on approach is required at all times. Salary Negotiable
Duties
To liaise with client and ascertain their requirements
Organise and occasionally attend site surveys
Produce in-depth reports and plans and adhering to time scale and costs for customer acceptance
On approval - produce designs for the control systems, incorporating PLC programming and follow through all stages to commissioning
Liaising with other engineers when necessary
Candidates should have served a recognised apprenticeship, be qualified to HNC standard and posess a through up-to-date knowledge of electronics preferably with experience in the PLC field. Mechanical aptitude would be a definite advantage. Good communication skills are essential as you will have regular customer contact.
Electronic design engineering experience would be an advantage.
Occasional travel will be required.
