A leading company who is recognised as a world class player in the Renewable Energy sector is currently looking for a Head of Design due to its strong growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a challenging career in an innovative industry.

The successful candidate will ideally be degree qualified and have a solid background in electrical power engineering / electrical network system environment. Knowledge of control systems and SCADA package applications would be an advantage.

The role will involve leading and managing a team of design engineers to work with the project delivery team to provide power system design, electrical system detailed designs, specification, schematics, technical advisory and project engineering service to customers. You will be up to speed with power systems, electrical design and specification, construction and operation of HV / LV electrcial networks, substations, and the plant / equipment - (switchgear, cables, tranformers, protection and earthing) associated with grid integration of energy generation projects.
Other areas of expertise should include providing cost effective solutions for power system projects and an ability to provide technical specifications for transmission and distribution plants.
