They are currently seeking Engineers with good experience of the overall system of an Engine (either diesel or petrol) to apply this knowledge to designing engine components and sub systems. You will undertake basic structural (stress and stiffness) analysis, as well as liaising with specialists for indepth structural and fluid dynamics design analysis.
Using CAD you will produce design layouts in 3D solids and develop the 2D detail drawings required for component manufacture as well as ensuring design accuracy and compliance with sub-system and component technical specifications. Collaborating with development engineers you will suggest improvements to the engine design.
Due to visa restrictions, you must be qualified to degree level Engineering with experience of diesel or petrol engines. Good CAD skills in IDEAS are required and any additional skills in Pro-Engineer, Catia or Unigraphics would be useful. You will also need experience in an automotive design environment.

Experience of component and sub system design specifically relating to HSDI diesel engines is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of automotive 3D data creation and 2D design standards, DFMEA process and component release requirement would also be advantageous.
