Solidworks Technician required for a company specialising in the design and manufacture of special purpose machinery for the composite materials industry, this dynamic company seeks to recruit a SolidWorks Design Technician to assist with ongoing projects on their site based in Poole.
Operating within various market sectors supported by an impressive portfolio of blue chip clients, mostly within the aerospace and motor sport sector (BAe, Airbus, Maclaren and Ferrari to name only a few) provide a full turn-key solution to all of their clients.
The Skills Required:
The successful candidate will possess proven solidworks design/draughting experience. The ideal candidates will be proficient and have completed at least some of the modules towards their solidworks certification (modules in routing and weldments would be ideal).
The Role:
The successful candidate will be taking specifications and sketches from the senior engineers and producing a range of general assembly and manufacturing drawings using Solidworks. You will see the project from concept to completion getting involved with the choosing of materials, Bill of Materials and the entire design and development process. It is essential that these drawings are produced in a manner and process where they can be altered, modified and worked on in the future.
