Design Engineer
Our client specialises in providing contractors, builders' merchants and professional plumbers with market leading technology, packaging expertise, customer service and product quality. They manufacture plumbing fittings for use in domestic, commercial, industrial, air conditioning, refrigeration and shipbuilding applications. Their range includes compression, end feed, solder ring, crimp and push fit fittings, these fitting are available at all good plumbers' and builders' merchants throughout the United Kingdom.
Outside the UK, our client also distributes plumbing fittings to the Far and Middle East as well as other markets.
They currently seek a dynamic and experienced contract Design Engineer, someone who enjoys the detail of the project.
Key Skills & Experience:
Plumbing or associated industry would be advantageous but not essential
Value Engineering & Cost Reduction experience advantageous
Wide range of mainly metal production technologies - stamping, forging & machining, plating, fine blanking, presswork, hydro-forming etc for brass, copper & steels
Some sealing, plastics & elastomers
3D Modelling - AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop 6 or AutoCAD Inventor 2006 - 2008
2D Draughting - AutoCAD 2002 or above
