My client is looking for a Design Engineer to join an existing team in the Northampton area. In this role you will prepare and issue drawings, specifications and parts lists to support production programmes and new product development plans.
The successful applicant will
•Create and maintain existing product designs using AutoCAD and solidworks
•Carry out feasibility studies, installation checks, reviews and calculations for each design
•Liaise with both internal staff and customers
•Carryout basic engineering calculations
•Define part numbers and assembly structures for input into BOMs
You will be able to complete projects to meet deadlines and customers specifications. You will have a HNC Mechanical/Automotive; BSc Mechanical Engineering and have an understanding of the Automotive industry. You will have strong communication skills, be a team player and be able to use your own initiative.
