Design Engineer
Skills:
•Design skills for design of machines and complex mechanisms.
•Current use of modern CAD system.
•Use of 3D modelling CAD system
Aptitude:
•Logical thought processes to arrive at design solutions.
•Ability to analyse problems to gain correct and reliable solutions.
Knowledge:
•Knowledge of structures of machines and material specification of components for various applications.
•Knowledge of design of power transmission methods for various applications.
•Knowledge of design of mechanical systems for various motion control solutions including servo systems.
•Knowledge of application of CNC control of machines.
Education & Training:
•HNC / HND Mechanical or Design Engineering.
•Degree in similar discipline(s)
Experience:
•Good experience in an engineering design environment.
•At least 3 years.
Other requirements:
•Self motivated.
•Good participation as engineering team member.
•Practical ability to get involved with machine build problem solving.
•Occasional travel to visit customers for fact finding or service.
