An excellent opportunity has arisen within this leading UK manufacturing company based in Coventry for a mechanical Design Engineer who is looking to work within a busy design and development department.
THE ROLE
It will be your role to design and develop a large amount of existing and new products using 3D CAD software. You will be designing using a number of different materials including sheetmetal, plastics, injection mouldings and even aluminium extrusions, and it will be your role to introduce all new product developments (NPD) into manufacture. You will also get involved in all project meetings in relation to design changes etc.
THE PERSON
You will ideally be based in the Warwickshire, Leicestershire or Birmingham area as this Coventry based manufacturer is in easy reach of all three areas. You will need to have strong design skills either in a mechanical or product capacity. You will need to be adaptable as many of the products you will be working on are varied and will therefore challenge you on a daily basis. Finally you will need good 2D and 3D CAD skills along with ability to design from cradle to grave.
