Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen within this leading engineering company who design and manufacture products into the engineering, automotive and commercial vehicle industries, for a mechanical design engineer to join its operation based near Tamworth.
THE ROLE
You will work within the design and development department using 2D and 3D CAD software to design and model a range of mechanical products from concept to completion. You will also be involved in all of the project planning meetings and reviews making sure that all new product development work and modifications to existing products is being developed correctly.
THE PERSON
You will need to have experience of designing mechanical products using 2D or preferably 3D CAD software. Our client has a number of platforms including Autocad and Solidworks, however training on the software will be given. The most important skill that you will require is the ability to pick up the products from the drawings and design and develop products using your design creativity. Finally it is important that you have strong communication and teamworking skills as you will be working within a medium sized design department.
