Design Draughtsperson - Mechanical

Our client has been a world leader in the design and manufacture of power transmission couplings for many decades. As part of a larger group of companies, their extensive range of products include couplings, torque limiters, safety elements, as well as brakes, clutches, gearboxes, motor and motor controls all are used in a wide range of applications from high speed gas turbines, steam turbines and compressor drives, F1 racing engine test beds to process pumps, marine propellers and industrial fans etc. They are now seeking a Design Draughtsperson to join our Turboflex Business Unit team.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for the production of general arrangement and detailed components drawings, coordinating customer requirements with various company departments, and be able to deal effectively with our customers. You must enjoy working in a goal orientated integrated team environment and have familiarity with rotating equipment machine shop operations.
ABOUT YOU
You will be educated to HNC level, or higher, in a recognised Mechanical Engineering / design qualification or qualified by experience. You will have knowledge of 2D/3D AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel and using 3D Solid Edge, and FEA along with understanding or interest of rotating equipment will be advantageous but is not essential. You will be a good communicator, have excellent attention to detail skills and have the ability to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines and targets.
