Description

Our client, a Major Contractor, is working on a large Station Upgrade project. This role will involve the coordination of the design and approval of civils, building, mechanical, electrical and utilities works between the contractor's suppliers and the client's designers.

Our client, a Major Contractor, is working on a large Station Upgrade project. This role will involve the coordination of the design and approval of civils, building, mechanical, electrical and utilities works between the contractor's suppliers and the client's designers.
Key responsibilities/requirements for the Design Coordinator include:-
-Management of the design brief submissions for permanent works
-Design Coordination with the Client and Contractors Designers.
-Offer advice for the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
-Assist in reporting and programming.
-Coordinate and manage the interface between 3rd parties and other contractors.
-Design of temporary works.
-Maintain and manage the temporary works and design register.
-Supervise inspections of temporary works.
-Inspect and sign off temporary works on site and permission to load/unload etc.
-Maintain a tracking document for all designs.
-Attend project and design meetings, offering advice as may be required.
-Demonstrate an ability to communicate at all levels.
-Ability to work unsupervised with a positive attitude and focus.
-Excellent training and development opportunities.
-Experience of large multi discipline projects ideally with Rail interface.
