Design Manager required to take responsibility for all design aspects of a D+B New Build project in West London this is a complex phased project lasting several years.
Position: Design & Build Manager
Package: £60-65k plus full benefits package.
Company: Well known Main Contractor working upon building and refurbishment projects to £50m in the London regions, in the education, health, and local government sectors.
Role: Design Manager required to take responsibility for all design aspects of a D+B New Build project in West London this is a complex phased project lasting several years; you will manage the complete construction design process. The role is focused upon developing the design in the construction phase then supporting the project team offering guidance and advice upon buildability issues when on site.
Specific responsibilities include management of the design process, management of Architects, Structural Engineers and subcontractor design responsibilities, driving value management, design co-ordination, ensure the design process recognises current legislation, standards and Codes of Practice, performance monitoring and co-ordination of design programmes.
Requirements: You will have worked for recognised construction companies in the UK in a design focused role, will be well versed in construction design and will most likely have professional qualifications
