A firm of building contractors seek a Design & Build Co-ordinator to join them in East London
My client, a main contractor, has a vacancy for a Design & Build Co-ordinator to join them in East London. Acting as the primary contact for the design teams, client and production teams, and the successful candidate will manage the design process for traditional and design & build contracts. Duties will include but will not be restricted to; advising on cost-effectiveness of alternative methods of construction; co-ordinating the design information supplied to the construction division; managing compliance checks against specification and client requirements; managing design output to agreed programmes; to liaise with local authorities, Building Control and Planning Departments. The successful candidate will possess a substantial experience of new-build, refurbishment and residential projects built on a professional background as an architectural or structural engineering technician. A good working knowledge of the following is necessary; AutoCAD 2000; NHBC, building regs and building services. The candidate should be qualified to RIBA architectural/technician standard.
