Description

Technology Project Services (TPS) are a specialist recruitment consultancy that supplies high quality IT and Programme/Project Management contract staff to various public sector (as well as commercial) clients across the UK.

We are currently receiving large demand to work on high profile and lucrative contracts and are looking for experienced DBA's skilled in Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, IMS, and similar systems. You must have at least 3 years experience as a DBA and it would be desirable that you hold professional certification (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional) and have previously worked in a public sector environment. Tasks will include installation, configuration and upgrading; establishing and maintaining sound backup and recovery policies and procedures; database design and implementation; implement and maintain database security; database tuning and performance monitoring; testing backup and recovery strategies; provision of 24/7 support when required; etc.

Due to the tight timescales that our clients often work to it would be advantageous if you already hold a form of security clearance (e.g. BC, BC(E), CTC, SC, DV) or alternatively be willing to undergo the full vetting procedure in order to obtain this.
