Experienced Data Centre engineer required to take responsibility and oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment. Salary to £60k.
Our client is looking for an experienced Data Centre Engineer to take responsibility and oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment in a data centre. Some of the responsibilities include:
• Manage engineering technicians
• Selection and constant review of contractors for maintenance contracts
• Managing the budget
• Develop and run a maintenance regime
• Ensure regular testing of emergency backup system
• Installation of CAT5 and Fibre cabling infrastructure to allow for continual expansion within the facility
• Maintain records for maintenance and testing
• Create and monitor Engineering related processes and procedures
• Be available to work out of hours on short notice in response to any emergencies
Qualification/Experience Required:
Bachelors in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent industry experience
Experience working with high-voltage, UPS, HVAC and Building Management Systems
Experience in a Data Centre or equivalent environment
Management experience
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule
Ability to work without direct supervision
Company offers a salary of £55k-£60k pa and great scope for career progression.
