Manages the content, quality, sharing and delivery of the Digital Mock-Up across the company, customers and suppliers.

JOB/ACTIVITY : Digital Mock-Up (DMU) Engineer

MISSION :

•Manages the content, quality, sharing and delivery of the Digital Mock-Up across the company, customers and suppliers,
•Manages the communication with company organizations, customer and suppliers on all Digital Mock-Up related matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

•Manages the DMU :
Defines the overall structure of the DMU and ensures its compliance with requirements and design best practices,
Maintains the overall integrity and organization of the data included in the DMU by all stakeholders (Designers, Suppliers and Customer),
Ensures the availability of an up-to-date DMU,
Maintains integrity with the Engineering Bill of Materials.

•Ensures DMU quality :
Conducts studies/reviews in order to defines/validate conformance to Customer/company specifications (kinematics, interferences & clearances),
Controls data conformance to customer/company rules (quality checks & tools, standards),
Defines and communicates issues and resolutions plans.

•Ensures DMU sharing and delivery :
Identifies with program, customer and suppliers key milestones, delivery process and requirements,
Manages and guaranties DMU delivery to customer,
Manages and guaranties DMU visibility across company and suppliers when needed,
Integrates suppliers data,
Is the focal point for Manufacturing Engineering DMU related maters,
Manages data traceability.

•Supports DMU stakeholders :
Supports and promotes DMU usage,
Helps teams to define requirements and to pilot suppliers,
Participates to DMU reviews,
Provides lessons learned and requirements to the methods /IS organizations.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES :
•Mechanical Engineering,

•CATIA V5 & Smarteam tools,
•French / English.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :

Ideally we are seeking someone degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or someone with equivalent training and experience. In both cases, the ideal candidate will need to demonstrate knowledge of design methods, process improvement and extensive use of Catia V5. Smarteam data management experience would also be very beneficial. Knowledge of French would be an advantage.


Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday08.00 a.m. 4.30 p.m.
Friday08.00 a.m. 1.00 p.m.

Basic working week of 37 hours. Applicants will be expected to work additional hours as required to successfully perform this role.

There may be some foreign travel involved in this role.
