Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer in Derby, Midlands of England. The position of design engineer is ideally suited to mechanical/aeronautical engineers suitable and appropriate mechanical engineering design experience preferably obtained within an aerospace environment. Working across a number of design competencies, including gas turbines, aerostructures and tooling, the workload will range from producing and researching concepts through to detail design and their subsequent manufacture.

Experience will encompass one or more of the following:

Pressure test equipment.
Metallics / Composite design.
Design for manufacture / assembly.
CE Marking.
Test rig design and instrumentation.
Special purpose tooling.
D.F.M.E.A.s.
Design Validation Plans (D.V.P.s).
Tolerance analysis.
Technical report writing.
Project management.

Familiarity with the following packages:

Pro-Engineer.
CATIA V4/5.
UNIGRAPHICS NX2.
MsOffice applications including MSProject and Access.
