Our client is on of the world leaders in the manufacture and design and of sorting systems established in 1946 they have been setting the standard for the sorting of rice, coffee, nuts , seeds and dozens of other commodities. They have been supplying high technology products and services to over 100 countries throughout the world and have won the prestigious queens award for industry on several occasions. An opportunity has arisen with the company for a Customer Support Engineer.
The Customer Support Engineers main purpose within the company will be to provide customer satisfaction by the provision of both internal and external support, and to plan and participate in extended international trips. The Customer Support Engineer other responsibilities include
Recording of customer requirements and other requests.
Providing technical advice/support to both customers and internal departments.
Carrying out application tests and product demonstrations for customer's products against specific contracts.
Advising and updating customers on service schedules and work carried out or in progress
Diagnosing and rectifying both new and reoccurring problems.
Following through and resolving issues remaining from jobs
Overseeing the installation of products and identifying weaknesses in installations. Proving product performance, applying modifications when necessary.
Supporting new products and acting as interface with relevant function.
Training of operational staff and providing agents engineers with service and maintenance training.
Liaising with agents engineers, soliciting feedback on product issues relating to product durability, serviceability or reliability.
Applicants for this role would have ideally worked as a Customer Support Engineer within the sorting industry. The chosen Customer Support Engineer will have a HNC or HND or equivalent experience, sound product and electro service experience.
