The Role
A number of exciting opportunities exist within our Defence Aerospace sector for Cost Engineers.

You will work with other manufacturing, design and supply chain professionals on our transmissions and external components work packages, generating and project managing cost reduction initiatives from the initial component design phase through to production.

You will also infl uence our engineering team to achieve the ‘best cost’ solution for our components in-line with our performance and functionality requirements. Working in a cross-functional team, you will be responsible for integrating the team’s efforts in achieving its cost targets with the wider organisation on a commodity basis.

Experience
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline and have knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques.

Cost engineering experience is preferred, although a track record of successfully managing manufacturing, design and supply chainimprovements is acceptable. Lean manufacturing processimprovement experience is highly desirable.

You will be a self-starter who can prioritise your own work and perform under pressure whilst experience of leading cross-functional teams would be an advantage.
