CONTROLS ENGINEER / ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
My Client are a market leader in the food and drink industry and a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Controls Engineer to join there Engineering team.
As an specialist controls engineer, working as part of a multi disciplinary team, supplying maintenance cover at agreed levels in support of site activities.
Principle accountabilities
•Ensure all control systems are backed up
•Be part of a multi disciplined team of engineers
•Ensure good engineering standards are complied with
•Work closely with production team leaders, improvement teamleader and maintenance team leader on contributing to, and implementing, a program of continuous improvement
•Participate in training activities that develop the job holder and therefore improve the flexibility and performance of the engineering team
•Ensure all work activities are performed in a safe manner and that appropriate HSE documentation is completed to the required legal and company standards
•Help to facilitate the training of other team members in the use of new and existing control items or programs
Knowledge and experience
•Extensive knowledge of bottling and packing equipment
•Suitable technical qualifications (HNC)
•Good communications skills
•In depth understanding of Siemens S5 &S7, Mitsubishi, Omron, Telemecanique and Danfoss PLCs, HMI, Drives and networks. PC based systems and software.
•Have a proactive approach to problem solving
•Good administrative skills
Shift / Salary
The position is a days Mon - Fri, salary up to £36000 dependant on experience.
