Controls Design Engineer

Our client is a QS9000-TE & BSEN-ISO9001/2000 certified company, who for 30 years has been a leading supplier of Leak Test and Automatic Assembly equipment to the European Automotive and Mass Production industries. At their plant in Essex they have a manufacturing facility from where they service the UK and global markets with British designed and built machines whose scope encompasses many areas of the test, assembly and final validation processes.
Immediately they need to recruit a Controls Design Engineer to join the existing design team, bringing new experience and knowledge with the purpose to embrace new challenges and machines.
Principal responsibilities will be
•To design electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic hardware circuits for Bespoke machines in consideration to relevant customer specifications.
•To design machine software using various PLC types and programming methods, this is to include HMI graphics and integration.
•Pre-commissioning
•Final commissioning
