Description
Our client is regarded as a household name across the globe. You will be responsible for a team of Electricians, Instrument Fitters and Technicians. Candidates will demonstrate skills on a range of PLC platforms as well as HMI integration, developing and implementing maintenance and inspection plans.
A position has now arisen for an experienced Controls and Automation Engineer to compliment their existing automation team.
Responsible for a team of Electricians, Instrument fitters and Technicians, this key position provides all aspects of the factory / site engineering with the required competence on Factory Automation System (FAS), Process Control System and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to effectively support manufacturing operational activities and continuously improve manufacturing performance.
The Automation engineer is a cross-functional discipline position that requires proportional knowledge in hardware and software development and their applications, so the successful candidate will demonstrate skills on a range of PLC platforms and HMI integration, developing and implementing maintenance and inspection plans to ensure reliability, sustainability and security of the Automation and MES infrastructure.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the successful candidate will demonstrate In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and process control, real time management systems experience, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), man/machine interfaces and communication and computer hardware etc. Additionally, knowledge of electricity (particularly low voltage installations), local electrical code and standards and knowledge of food processing operations and technology will prove to be distinctly advantageous.
