Established in 1969, with a turnover exceeding £25M, our client is the UKs leading advanced automation and real-time business intelligence company, who specialise in the nuclear, power generation and utility markets where their solutions are used from plant to boardroom.

Immediately they require Control Systems Engineers to be responsible for programming (PLC/SCADA) and related software engineering activities for the Nuclear business. The posts are based in both Staffordshire and Cumbria, there will also be occasional travel to other sites in the UK (full expenses paid). Our client requires candidates that are either in the earlier stages of their career looking for the next step up the ladder (able to demonstrate proven programming experience), or experienced control systems engineers who are looking for a more senior position. The successful applicants will be integrated within existing experienced teams and will be fully trained.
Successful candidates will be responsible for the design of control systems, PLC and SCADA programming, and have involvement throughout whole software/systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and configuration and documentation (working throughout to full QA procedures), and PLC interfacing with SCADA packages and/or higher languages (e.g. VB, C++)
In return my client offers a basic salary from £25,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience), paid overtime / expenses, and a company pension scheme.
