Experience of PLC control systems ideally Allen Bradley ControlLogix, the job role maybe best described as a Project engineer within a control system environment, but they key skill is control systems design experience.
Our clients core business is the retrofit of control system to gas and steam turbines, their scope of supply extends to the control of the driven process (power generation, oil pumping, and water pumping or gas compressors). Their clients are major blue chip companies in the Power Generation and Oil & Gas sectors around the world. The control systems invariably consist of microprocessor-based devices (PLC and PCs), sensors and electro-mechanical interfaces. Process monitoring systems relay operating data to operators, maintenance staff and engineers whose task is to optimise the operation of the plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
•Production of FDS, based on customer specifications. PLC I/O requirements
•Production of detailed design specs for PLC programming, sequence/logic flow charts
•Production of electrical schematics and PLC I/O diagrams
•Verification and validation of PLC code (ladder diagrams)
•Production of test procedures and specifications
•Completion of works and factory test.
In return our client offers a basic salary of £30,000 to £33,000, paid overtime, stakeholder pension scheme, profit related bonus and on-site expenses.
