Control & Instrumentation Engineer Berkshire, Hampshire, London The Company :

Equipment provided varies in terms of specification, configuration and size and the client aims to provide clients with the optimal drying system for their specific applications, employing a value analysis approach ensuring optimum cost effectiveness on each project.
Role:
My client currently seeks a Control & Instrumentation Engineer prepared to take on the responsibility for carrying out maintenance and calibration work as required. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will support the implementation of continuous improvement including planned and preventative maintenance programmes on a site wide basis, whilst also becoming involved in a number of plant modifications and improvements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in process and manufacturing industries and will have gained significant exposure to the maintenance and improvement of process instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Planned and reactive maintenance duties
Continuous improvement initiatives
Plant improvement projects and equipment changeovers
Additionally the Control & Instrumentation Engineer will undertake calibration duties required to maintain the clients process control instrumentation

Required Experience and Main Skills:

PLC experience
Projects experience
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years process / maintenance plant experience combined with a recognised instrument apprenticeship or equivalent. Be time-served or formally trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineers or Instrumentation Engineer who can demonstrate proven track record within an engineering environment . Demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical principals of machinery
Have experience of calibration for instrumentation role.
