Supplier of complex electronics and software systems and equipment for military applications are looking for an experienced contracts/procurement professional to create, develop and maintain supply chain solutions across a number of business areas in field of operational support contracts for their equipment.
This role reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and is in effect the Procurement Lead and responsible for devising, implementing and delivering tailored procurement strategies and providing senior level guidance up to Business Director level.
You will be an experienced contracts and procurement professional with contracts negotiation, supply chain strategy formulation and supplier management skills. Experience of working on complex electronics or software/systems products would be preferred (e.g. for software licensing knowledge) with knowledge of UK Defence contracts and dealing with MOD procurement procedures of particular interest.Strong influencing skills and a degree of resilience is also required combined with excellent presentation skills. CIPS qualified (or working towards this, or equivalent qualification) would be desirable.
