Contract Technical Author

The role is commutable from Hull, Beverley, Scunthorpe, Grimsby.
What the role involves for the contractor?
As a Technical Author the role will involve working on specific projects within the oil and gas industry. The client has recently won two major projects which require the documentation and safety procedures to be written for an offshore platform and a new build oil refinery and as such need to add to the Technical Authoring team. The client wants someone who will be able to put in place training, installation and maintenance manuals.
What experience is needed?
The client is looking for a contractor who will come into the company and be able to be left to produce these procedures using own initiative. As a Technical Author you will be expected to have experience of writing training programs, ideally from the oil and gas industry, however, this is not essential.
What the company does?
The client is a leading supplier of services to a number of different industries, however, over recent times have concentrated more within the oil and gas industry as such they are having to grow the Technical Authoring team. They are a multi million pound business with a portfolio of many blue chip clients.
