18 MONTHS- RESIDENT CONTRACT MECHANICAL ENGINEER/ CONTRACT SENIOR MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER-HUMBER- UPTO £32 PER HOUR
The company are a world force who provide services to the power, oil and gas, petrochem and nuclear industries. They have a number of new projects starting in the area in the next few weeks and as a result require the services of a Mechanical Site Engineer.
Whats on offer:
•Plenty of overtime
•Contract going through to mid 2009!
What the company are looking for within a candidate:
•A mechanical engineer with a relevant mechanical qualification, ideally although not essentially Chartered.
•Experience gained within the oil and gas, petrochem or power industries working on equipment which includes turbines, structural steel work, piping systems, pressure vessels and tanks.
•Proven track record in the management of multi-million pound construction projects within this sector.
•Experience of overseeing projects through installation, erection, pre commissioning, commissioning and testing.
What the role will involve:
•Overseeing the full project life cycle from construction and installation of kit on site through pre-commissioning and commissioning and test.
•Being present at and adding to tool box talks.
•Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and quality standards.
• Provide timely and accurate weekly reports on contract status, areas of concern, and upcoming activities.
