Our client, one of the most famous names in food worldwide has an exciting opportunity for a packaging technologist in a 1yr contract role.

Job Summary

We are currently looking to recruit a Packaging Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will join a rapidly growing business that prides itself on delivering innovative drinks vending systems to consumers and will be responsible for delivering packaging projects, focused on the development of existing and new packaging products.
Work with a multifunctional team to create & develop new Packaging formats for our brands.
Initiate packaging projects that are aligned with our business objectives.
Manage packaging projects from initiation to implementation at our production facilities in Basingstoke & West Chester (USA).
Provide technical support where required to our production facilities.
Deliver cost benefits through packaging and process optimisation.
Maintain & develop new specifications for packaging that is reflective of its functional use in our chosen markets.
Monitor & review both patents and the technical literature in the area of packaging and processes.

What have you got to offer us?
Degree (or equivalent) in Physical Sciences or Engineering
Work experience in the area of product development & project management
The ability to demonstrate the delivery of technical projects, from initiation to implementation, in a dynamic industrial environment
Work experience in thermo forming, injection moulding or flexible laminates would be advantageous
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes
Fluency in English and the right to work in the UK indefinitely are definitely essential.
