As a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer you will be the key support service' to the production line employees be seen as one of the first lines of call in order to support and resolve concerns. You will lead the way forward in identifying & implementing both standards and improvement ideas be the catalyst for continuous improvement and waste elimination. Driving & supporting facility capacity and capability issues (adherence to Key Process Variables, analysis of OEE data, confirmation of installed facility capacity, etc.) will be core responsibilities. In addition to this, you will own and ensure compliance to the cell technical pack and quality plan. Other key account abilities include:
•Provide guidance and support to teams involved in quality and process improvement activities (eliminating bottleneck processes, etc.)
•Promote the Lean as a way of working within their business, acting as a leader to embed the Lean principles.
•Identify and share best practice across the business, providing advice and assistance where appropriate.
•Identify and co-ordinate any additional support required to confirm adherence to standardised operating procedures (coaching, process documentation sign-off, audit checks, etc.)
•Be a key communicator of current status of support activities (start of shift preparation & hand-over logs, problems investigations -countermeasures - implementation actions, etc.)
•Carry out audit confirmation checks on key processes (standardised operations, TEM boards, OEE data gathering, quick changeover methods, error proofing devices, etc.)
Essential Skills:
Pro-active and thinking ahead for future, you will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline. You will have extensive knowledge and experience in deployment and operation of Lean principles. In addition to this, you will have excellent problem solving skills, recognised by Black Belt certification. Communication, influencing and conflict management skills will be utilised to manage a multi-tasked workload in a busy team, and you must possess the confidence and communication skills to present ideas to a range of key stakeholders
